What Happens in IOP?
In an intensive out-patient program, you’ll have opportunities to
work on life, relationship and work issues with other people who
have similar issues. You’ll learn about your illness, how to manage
your medications and how to prevent relapse. You may participate
in family therapy. You will work with a team of licensed
professionals, including changes in physical psychiatrists,
psychologists, nurses, clinical social workers, health and other
therapists or clinical specialists. You will participate in groups that
teach wellness and coping skills, on such topics as anger
management, nutrition, communication skills and relaxation
techniques.

The IOP Advantage
For many older adults, ageing can present life challenges that
often require assistance to overcome. The Intensive Outpatient
Program provides individual and group mental health therapy
based on your personal needs.
Services are offered Monday through Friday with a frequency
established by our program psychiatrist and professional
treatment team.
Our Program is specially designed for adults age 65 and older
experiencing emotional and behavioral changes, which do not
require 24-hour supervision. We are here to help you cope with
these changes in a healthy manner.
