· A hospital must receive a signed acknowledgement from the patient who has received a notice that the patient understands
that a doctor of medicine or osteopathy may not be present during all hours in which services are furnished to the patient;
before providing an outpatient service to an outpatient for whom notice is required, the hospital must receive the signed
acknowledgement
